Hi all,

I am an avid follower of MMA… specifically the UFC.  One of my favorite fighters, Chuck Liddell, will be fighting Wanderlei Silva.  Additionally, we will be seeing the rematch between St. Pierre and Matt Hughes.

So my prediction?  I really love Chuck, but I think he is too one dimensional.  Where Couture meticulously plans each fight to play to the weaknesses of his opponent, Chuck just comes in as “Chuck”, and counts on his punching power to end it quick, before he gets into trouble.  We saw that tactic bite him a few times recently, and quite frankly, even though he won against Tito, I think he was starting to gas out.  So my bet is on Wanderlei.  Which is sad… because I really love Chuck.  I hope he proves me wrong and is able to do like we saw Forest Griffin do when he reinvented his fighting style recently.  Crossing my fingers for you Chuck, but putting my money ont he Axe Murderer.

In the other big fight I am for St. Pierre all the way.  I think that Matt has too poor of a standup game, and St. Pierre cannot be dominated by Matt’s ground and pound like so many others before have been.  Look for a beating.  I just hope for Matt’s sake that he has ether figured out how to punch, or has figured out that he can’t and stops trying to.
