Utah Judo Class December 20th, 2007

Class was really great last night.  In the previous weeks many of the throws we had been learning were all about forward motion… using your momentum, and your movements with it, to throw.  That’s great when you are stronger that who you are facing, or when you catch them before they are really ready.  But it can be tough against a strong, big person.

What we worked on this week were two throws that really take a person’s energy and use it against them.  They spin and throw the person back behind you (easier than it sounds actually.)   I’ll try to get the names of both of these two throws so I can post them here.
