Best damn martial arts class in Utah
I realized that it has beena while since I expressed how pleased I am wit the class I am. No, not just pleased… I really am thankful that I found it (okay, so my brother in law found it… but that’s beside the point.)
I have done martial arts and wrestling off and on for years. The problem I had with so many martial arts programs were significant:
Price
I am looking for a bit of exercise, some skill, and a chance to get out my manly need to hurt things… I am NOT looking for another freaking car payment! That’s where I have been really happy wit this class. $50 per month. 3 classes per week. 2 hours per class. Amazing value.
Sensei
This is probably the biggest one for me. Why do so many martial arts instructors act like abusive military dad’s. Way too many have this huge need to make sure you understand that they are WAY tougher, and WAY cooler than you, and need to constantly reinforce the need for you to “respect my authority!” Mike (my instructor) is funny. He is nice, and I consider him my friend. He’s like a big, huge, older brother who can kick my butt if he wants, but doesn’t need to constantly rub that in my face.
Style
For a lot of reasons that I expressed in this earlier post, I feel that Judo is one of the best styles for most real-life applications. It all comes down to what you really need from martial arts.
Anyway, I really love the class. Come try it out once for free and see what you think. You can get ahold of Mike, or learn more at: 801-347-3471 or check them out at Hidden Valley Judo website.
Stop readin this blog! You know you want to try it! get your but off that chair, and throw an arm bar on someone (you know you want to
