Missing Judo Class: Pain at a whole new level

Oh. My. Hell.

Okay, so I never expected a broken rib to be fun.  But I also did not expect how bad it has gotten in the last few days.  Several times per day my rib actually “pops” when I turn wrong or move wrong, and sends me pretty much to the floor, nearly unable to breathe for about two minutes.  It really sucks.

It got bad enough this weekend that I went to an Insta-care to make sure everything is really okay.  Basically, they chuckled, patted me on the butt, and sent me on my way with a prescription for pain killers, and a “It sucks to be you.”

I am trying to run on the elliptical to keep my cardio from completely going to shit, but I am really missing Judo.  The doctor said I should really lay off for about six weeks.

Well, I’ll be watching my Karo Judo videos and posting whatever insights I can glean.  Real bummer :(
