Moved Into the New Dojo!
I can’t tell you how excited I am that we have moved into the new location. We have a ton of mat space now, changing rooms, an office, a room for the kids to play in during the adult class, a kitchen. It’s just great.
Of course, as you can see, it was a fair amount of work to get it ready:

But it’s done now, and we’re fully functional (what’s Japanese for yee-ha?)
For anyone interested, the location is in Draper, on 12300 south, and just one door west of 900 east. It’s on the south side of the road.
Kid’s classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00-7:00, and Saturdays from 9:00-10:00.
Adult classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 until we get tired (usually around 9:00), and Saturdays from 10:00-11:00.
Classes are $50 per month.
And, if you’re not sure, just drop by and check it out. There’s plenty of room to just hang out and watch. Heck, we’ll even work with you a bit just to see if you like it.
Anyhow… fun fun.
One thing that you might have noticed is that I am no longer blogging about hitting two gyms. I have to admit that I really do miss out on not doing both… The different body sizes and skill sets are nice. The more people you train against the better you will become. But trying to do two locations per night, and pay for two gyms (not to mention the fact that my 4 and 6 year olds are taking class now, and running to both spots would be a bit much with them) just didn’t work out. I do want to shout out to the Lehi Judo gym though, and say we miss you, and we love you.
But if you want to find us, we’ll be at Hidden Valley Judo.
